I am sending documents to His Majesty's Ambassador by air mail

but Dr. Maxwell considers and I am inclined to agree that no useful

purpose would be served by re-opening the matter now. End of "R".

Mrs. S. Clarke, I gather, is quite unbalanced. According to

Dr. Maxwell her political colouring as a result of visit to Formosa,

Spain and Russia is bright scarlet and any official reprimand might

only serve to encourage her in further venomous activities.

Competent authorities may wish to consider possibility of

transferring her husband from Hongkong.
